Based on the show a tri-series movie named ‘The Last Airbender’ is being made. Last time we discussed about the first movie being close to completion. The movie had reached its editing stage though one of the actors disclosed that the director usually tries to avoid the editing room. Movie Adaptation Of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Reaches the Editing Stage

Hey Lovers of Avatar: The Last Airbender, I’m back with a piece of news that will interest you. The news is that the awaited movie, The Last Airbender has reached its editing stage. Previously Frank Marshall, the producer of this movie had revealed that, a full trailer of this adapted movie would be released by Christmas. But what one of the film stars Asif Mandvi has said recently may make the producer’s assurance fall false.

According to him the director is usually “pulling his hair out of the editing room.” I know it’s sad that we might not be able to catch a glimpse of the movie this year if the actor’s revelations are true.

But we can’t blame Shyamalan as stressing out in the editing phase of the movie is quite normal. This becomes more relevant in case of Shyamalan as he has never handled such a big project earlier. The director is accustomed to directing small films which contain more if intimacy than the action. The Sixth Sense director has a lot of responsibility in this project as he has both written and directed it. I can well imagine the director reeling under pressure but also hopes that this doesn’t over power his creativity. The most exciting part is that the director hasn’t remained in much touch with the original animated series, Avatar: The Airbender. My whole sympathy is with the director. All the best to him for his first action flick.

All the fans are eagerly waiting for the movie to release. The first teaser released earlier has really heightened our expectations from this movie inspired from, Avatar: The Last Airbender. I really have butterflies in my stomach already, even when the movie is expected to release on July 2, 2010 about 9 months later. Hope the movie gets the similar

Response as was received by the animated TV series. I really can’t wait till the release of this movie.

A tribute to Mako Iwamatsu of ‘Avatar: the Last Airbender’

The voice behind our favorite character Uncle Iroh of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ was of the talented voice player Mako Iwamatsu. He left all his fans with tearful eyes on july21, 2006. He was diseased with esophageal cancer. He was extremely dedicated artist. One day before his death he completed the recording of his voice for the character, Master Splinter in TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) directed by Kevin Munroe. I am a damn fan of this Academy Award-nominated Japanese-American actor and pay tribute to his exceptional vocal proficiency. He was such a friendly person that many of his colleagues used to call him ‘Mako’, skipping his surname.

His earlier life is quite interesting as he never thought of coming into this profession and joined military in 1950s. He realized his theatrical abilities during his military services. After leaving military he started his training at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. He married to actress Shizuko Hoshi. He had two daughters; both of them are actresses.

He gave his voice for 1st and 2nd season of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and was not available anymore. His place was taken by Greg Baldwin for 3rd season. Mako’s theater career started in 1959 movie ‘Never So Few’. In 1965 he formed the East west Players theater company with six artists. It is one of the earliest Asian American theater organizations. It provided a venue for Asian American actors and nurtured many playwrights. He remained artistic director of the company until 1989. He appeared on many TV shows like McHale’s Nvy, M*A*S*H, The Incredible Hulk, F Troop, and Rise: Blood Hunter.

So if you are also interested to pay tribute to Mako then must watch ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ online. Otherwise just download ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and watch it anytime. After downloading, you can also share the video with your friends…

Avatar-The Last Airbender: A Convincing Superhero

We have seen Superman, Batman etc but most of these superheroes possessed out of the world super powers. To associate with them in realistic sense really seemed difficult. But when it came to Avatar-The Last Airbender, it really stole our hearts. It had powers that were derived from the basic elements like Air, Water, Fire, Aether and Earth itself. This was the reason the audiences had a strong connection with characterization of Avatar. Avatar was our own super hero in real sense.

The show was such a hit among young audiences that they wanted to learn the arts of attack and defense possessed by Avatar. I can’t figure out many children who want to fly like Superman or become a human spider to jump from one building to another. Possessing such exaggerated super human powers seems totally unrealistic. But with appearance of Avatar on the horizon the world of possibilities expanded.

More realistic a cartoon character is more is its appeal among the audiences. Also its acceptance among people belonging to different age groups increases. As this animated series ended with a befitting finale, the fans of this television show must have felt satisfied as it has become a trend nowadays to end promising shows abruptly.

“Avatar-The Last Airbender” has had it all what could be expected from a successful show. This show can boast right from video games based upon it to posters, stuff toys. What more can we ask from a television show? Avatar is modern day unisex Barbie doll for growing up kids. To catch up with your favorite animated character, you can download Avatar- The Last Airbender episodes from this website.

Spending Time With Avatar

I love Avatar! For me as a teenage girl, the character of Avatar in the animated series Avatar the Last Airbender was just perfect. It was love at first sight, when I saw the character for the first time. After the show’s exit from television screen, the character still exists in my everyday life.

I have all the video games based on Avatar the Last Airbender. I even have collection of this show’s trading cards. My day begins with Avatar and by the time the day end, I still have Avatar along by my side.

Don’t lie girl! That is what you all must be saying. In other words readers of my article will be saying you have gone nuts. But I can’t lie; I have posters of Avatar covering all the walls of my bedroom.

For many, the character of Avatar has been an enigma. He has been different from all the preceding animated superheroes. He is powerful and yet a part of this world. The powers possessed by Avatar are not exaggerated, as in case of many earlier superheroes.

Now that a trilogy of movies based on the animated series of Avatar the Last Airbender, is also coming up I can’t wait to fetch my movie tickets. I have my own dreamland that is ruled by Avatar and the huge fan base of this show is a justification to fact that there are many who have been mad about the show.

Many shows that were hugely popular among the audiences have been revived after their cancellation, due to their huge fan following. Since Avatar the Last Airbender falls in the same category, I hope that it is revived as well. I will always keep my fingers crossed and pray that the show comes back once more to entertain us.

A Sneak Into The Avatar Movie…..!!!

Hey all you Avatar- The Last Airbender fans out there. I was surfing the net sometime back and I just came across an interview of M. Night Shyamalan, the ace director who is going to turn our favorite carton series into a movie. In the interview he was talking about the upcoming movie. So I decided to share the information with you all as I am sure that you are also as excited about the movie as I am.

As I have told you before the movie will be an all out action thriller with real people playing the parts of our favorite characters. Well, another thing that the director has confirmed is that the movie will display a whole lot of computer graphics. He further added that the entire team was working hard to make the movie look real while at the same time not disturbing the element of fantasy involved in the story. The director also confirmed that currently they were in the process of building the sets for the movie.

He also revealed why he wanted to make the series into a movie. According to him he loved the characters as well as the story of the series as it had all the inherent elements of everyday life of a common man. So now we know that we have a great director who shares our feelings about the series.

When the series went off air in July 2008 after being on television for three years, I felt really heartbroken. But now that the series is being turned into a movie and that too with real characters, I am really thrilled. Although we all have to wait a little too long for the movie but we can always keep up to date with the latest developments through this website and in the meanwhile also download and watch any and all episodes of the series.
