Previously Frank Marshall, the producer of this movie had revealed that, a full trailer of this adapted movie would be released by Christmas. But what one of the film stars Asif Mandvi has said recently may make the producer’s assurance fall false.

According to him the director is usually “pulling his hair out of the editing room.” I know it’s sad that we might not be able to catch a glimpse of the movie this year if the actor’s revelations are true.

But we can’t blame Shyamalan as stressing out in the editing phase of the movie is quite normal. This becomes more relevant in case of Shyamalan as he has never handled such a big project earlier. The director is accustomed to directing small films which contain more if intimacy than the action. The Sixth Sense director has a lot of responsibility in this project as he has both written and directed it. I can well imagine the director reeling under pressure but also hopes that this doesn’t over power his creativity. The voice behind our favorite character Uncle Iroh of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ was of the talented voice player Mako Iwamatsu. He left all his fans with tearful eyes on july21, 2006. He was diseased with esophageal cancer. He was extremely dedicated artist. One day before his death he completed the recording of his voice for the character, Master Splinter in TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) directed by Kevin Munroe. I am a damn fan of this Academy Award-nominated Japanese-American actor and pay tribute to his exceptional vocal proficiency. He was such a friendly person that many of his colleagues used to call him ‘Mako’, skipping his surname.

His earlier life is quite interesting as he never thought of coming into this profession and joined military in 1950s. He realized his theatrical abilities during his military services. After leaving military he started his training at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. He married to actress Shizuko Hoshi. He had two daughters; both of them are actresses.

He gave his voice for 1^st and 2^nd season of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and was not available anymore. His place was taken by Greg Baldwin for 3^rd season. Mako’s theater career started in 1959 movie ‘Never So Few’. In 1965 he formed the East west Players theater company with six artists. It is one of the earliest Asian American theater organizations. It provided a venue for Asian American actors and nurtured many playwrights. He remained artistic director of the company until 1989. He appeared on many TV shows like McHale’s Nvy, M*A*S*H, The Incredible Hulk, F Troop, and Rise: Blood Hunter.

Night Shyamalan and is based on our very favorite animation series ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’. Movie will be produced by Paramount Pictures.

The role which came to Dev’s part was first meant for Hollywood heartthrob Jesse McCartney. Jesse’s busy schedules made him to get his name out of the list and ultimately, Dev Patel was the next choice for role. Dev would be portraying Zuko, a member of the Fire Nation. It’s being said that he will join the cast for a boot camp before the shooting begins. Shyamalan, about Dev’s entry into the star-cast list, said “Patel was “already one of the guys I was interested in. Then I saw ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ and the kid just grew in my eyes”.

As per the latest news, it’s sure that production of the movie would begin in Mid-March and movie is likely to hit theatres on July 2, 2010. Initially, movie was entitled ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ but due to some controversies, the name has been changed to ‘The Last Airbender’.

Though it was very depressing to see Avatar: The Last Airbender’ getting off the air after 3 seasons only, but at-least now we have something to wait for… it’d be awesome to see the animation hit converting into live action.. 

I know the sad part is that the series has been cancelled but the good news is that soon we will get to see a new Avatar movie. And now when that is the latest thing about this animation series, so let me upgrade you with what the movie will be about and what the directors of the movie are up to.

Almost all of us are aware of the fact that M. Night Shyamalan, has decided to make a live action movie on the hit animation series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. But most of us do not know that the director of the film has invited loads of trouble by casting white actors as the main characters in his big-screen take of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Wondering what the problem with that is, the problem is that the series features a decidedly Asian world with predominantly Asian characters, including Aang, the title character, the Chosen One who must unite four warring worlds; Sokka, Aang’s friend; and Katara, Sokka’s sister. Some of the vivid fans of the series have taken this quite literary and are calling Shyamalan, the writer, director and producer of the movie, a racist. For the movie, Shyamalan has decided to cast Noah Ringer, a karate champion from Texas, as Aang, Twilight’s Jackson Rathbone as Sokka and Nicola Peltz of Deck the Halls as Katara. Fans are actually quite disturbed by this change of cast in the movie. And they feel that this is like a slap in the face of those who are loyal to the show.

Mostly fans are upset by this casting of the movie and are writing in complaints. People have taken this issue far more seriously and gone to the extent of calling it ‘Orientalism’. I personally feel that this kind of thing could really affect the collection of the movie, once the movie is released. Night Shyamalan, the man who’s responsible to write, direct and produce films based on the series, has picked up the cast members for this upcoming project.

And, the list contains the names of Noah Ringer- a karate champion who would be portraying Aang, the central character of the show. The whole story of show revolves around him and he’s the current incarnation of Avatar. And, the second one is Nicola Peltz as Katara of the Southern Water tribe. Sokka, Katara’s brother will be portrayed by Jackson Rathbone. Most probably, Zuko, the exiled prince of the Fire Nation would be portrayed by Jesse McCartney.

Well, I am crazy to watch both ‘The Last Airbender Movie’ and the fourth season of series. I got hooked to ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ after I watched it for the first time and for me, it’s the greatest cartoon series ever.

It’s not been very long since the premiere of the show but still it’s one of the most popular animation series aired on Nickelodeon network. Marvelous job…. And expectations are high to see an animation hitting the big screen!

As I told you before that an exciting video game of “Avatar- The last Airbender” is on the way. So guys, the wait is over and the game is here. ‘THQ’ has just launched the game and now you can get it in the stores. The title is “Avatar- Into the Inferno”. Now get set go!!!!! Play with the legend of Aang. I hope you have gone through the third season of the anime, as I told you before. The storyline of the game is entirely based upon that season. At least I did so quite right. I downloaded the entire season from this site, and believe me, the picture and sound quality is so fine that I enjoyed much better than on television.

Actually the third and the first season are my most favorites among the series. So it was truly fun watching the whole action once again. The battle with Azula is just amazing.

The news that no more seasons are coming further was pretty devastating for me. Still I am glad that at least they are bringing out the game. This is the only animation series which impressed me so much, otherwise, I least like to watch animations, as for these are meant for kids only. My friends prompted me to watch it. I liked the plot and reached here to download the episodes, I had missed.

Anyway let’s come back to the latest game. I am so curious to bring it home as soon as possible. This game will allow me to do some martial arts, obviously what I can’t do in the real life at all. Though, I don’t watch animations, but I am crazy for the fighter video games.

The most interesting thing about the game is that we can create martial art moves at our own. Nonetheless, like Avatar we can exploit the four elements Earth, Fire, Water and Air to complete the journey. It’s a two player game and allows flying in the sky on gliders during air battles and that in Benders’ style. Rest of the features, I’ve already discussed in my last blog. Don’t waste time and go get it.

Now tie your seat belts and get ready to show your prowess in gaming. The most amazing thing about Avatar Game will be that it is a multi-player online global game. For off course now you can challenge people across the globe test hard your efficiencies. I know this is an extra treat for gaming freaks, and now enter the world of challengers.
